CUHK ART MUSEUM 35th ANNIVERSARY
As Vice Chair of the Friends of the CUHK (Chinese University of Hong Kong) Art Museum, Laure co-curated with Alexandra Choa, and produced the 35th anniversary exhibition held at the Rotunda in Exchange Square to benefit the Art Museum of the University.
This exhibition included 35 graduates from CUHK, among the most reputable and also promising artists in the Hong Kong art scene (Wucius Wong, Wilson Shieh, Leung Kui Ting, Ho Sin Tung, Lam Tung Pang, Chow Chun Fai and Kacey Wong, as well as works by emerging artists including Zaffer Chan, Wong Yee Ki, Liu Man Kun and Kong Chun Hei).
The curatorial strategy has been to exhibit work in a range of media to pay tribute to the masters, their students and the diversity of skills taught at the University.
The Hong Kong scene is in its vast majority active and gathering attention at an international level through the works of some of the aforementioned artists who also are teaching at the Fine Arts department of CUHK. It has also reached international acclaim through the works of graduates.
